Next generation CAMILEO™ introduces full HD camcorder with touchscreen technology and direct YouTube upload

Sydney, AUSTRALIA — January 31, 2011 — Building on the success of last year’s launch of the Camileo™ range, Toshiba has added a new touchscreen camcorder to the series, the pistol-grip Camileo™ S30.

Lightweight and ultra portable, the Camileo™ S30 delivers digital stills as well as HD digital camcorder functionality.

Featuring a sleek 19mm thin body and weighing approximately 120 grams, the Camileo™ S30 allows users to capture high quality video as well as share content with a direct upload function to video sharing sites such as YouTube.

“Consumers today enjoy watching videos as well as sharing them and the Camileo™ S30 has been specifically designed to help them capture all their memories with the greatest flexibility,” Robert Wilkinson, General Manager, Toshiba Information Systems Division (ISD) said.

“Users can also view their video and still photos directly on their computer or TV using the included HDMI cable. And they can easily share their videos and photos on YouTube using the Internet Upload Button. Intuitive technology is the result of Toshiba’s continuous innovation,” Wilkinson added.

Compact in size and big on features, the Camileo™ S30 is jam-packed with advanced features to ensure the best image and video quality.

In addition to delivering 1080p Full HD resolution, key features include:
• An 8MP CMOS sensor and fast lens for clear recording
• Smart image stabilisation in 1080p, 720p and 480p modes for capturing action
• A 16X digital zoom for filming close-ups and action – for either recording video or capturing still images
• A swivelling three-inch diagonal LCD touchscreen display to make menu navigation simple
• The camcorder accommodates SDHC and SDXC memory cards with up to 64 GB capacity.
