Sydney, AUSTRALIA – 3rd September, 2014 – Overnight at IFA 2014, Toshiba revealed its second generation Chromebook offering – the Toshiba Chromebook 2.

This new Chromebook houses a HD 13-inch display in a sleek and compact chassis. Tuned for ultimate productivity, entertainment and versatile performance, the Toshiba’s Chromebook 2’s fast Intel® Celeron™ processor and fantastic 10 hour battery life gives productivity seekers a Chromebook experience that keeps going all day.

Powered by the latest generation Intel® Celeron™ processor, equipped with 802.11ac wireless connectivity and available with 2GB of memory, Toshiba’s Chromebook 2 delivers smooth performance for fast web browsing. Pairing a battery life capability of up to 10 hours with a high definition13.3-inch widescreen display and native 1366 x 768 resolution, you will enjoy crystal-clear, unplugged freedom for longer.

Shelled in an all-new chassis design with sleek curves and a slim profile, the Chromebook 2 is topped with a silver textured resin lid on the outside and comfortable Chrome keyboard and spacious touchpad on the inside. This sleek, yet durable device comes with 100GB of Google Drive Cloud Storage for two years.

The Chromebook 2 is equipped with essential ports and features, including an HD webcam, one USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port, HDMI® output, SD Card slot, and a security lock slot.

Pricing and Availability
The Toshiba Chromebook 2 will be available for a RRP of$449.00 in Australia and will be available through selected Toshiba Authorised Retail outlets from October 2014.
